    • A balanced, more budget version of Plus 12. It took third place in our test, ahead of the 12th model by two positions.
  4. iPhone 16 Pro Max: 17:17
    • An iPhone with best battery life. Expensive, but the best in all characteristics among Apple smartphones.
  5. OnePlus 12: 17:05
    • Similar to the 12R but a bit more expensive and with slightly improved characteristics, such as RAM options and screen resolution.
  6. Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra: 17:01
    • A more budget smartphone from Asus, which has good characteristics and very few disadvantages.
  7. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: 16:45
    • The top model of a smartphone from Samsung. It didn’t show the best result in our test, despite its high price, but it has an excellent balance of technical characteristics, camera quality and image quality, which is rarely found in phones with super-capacious batteries.

    • A little cheaper than 16 Pro Max, therefore weaker in terms of battery life and simpler in other characteristics. The best option for those who do not need a bulky iPhone.
  9. Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus: 15:58
    • Slightly more compact than the Ultra, comes without the S Pen, but still a flagship smartphone at a nicer price.
  10. Moto G 5G (2024): 14:36

Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro – Best Phone for Battery Life Overall

In our tests, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro became the best battery life phone, working for 20 hours and 34 minutes without recharging. Since the smartphone has an adaptive refresh rate, for the purity of the experiment we used it again at the maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, and it worked for more than 15 hours, which is also impressive. Asus 9 Pro is equipped with a 5800mAh battery and a 65W fast charging function, thanks to which the smartphone can be charged from 0 to 100% in just 50 minutes. Also, this model is not deprived of a good processor. Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro has a Snapdragon 8 installed, so we were pleased with the performance. Such good results are not surprising, since It is an Asus’s flagship smartphone with a price tag of $1,199. Overall, Asus 9 Pro is marketed as the best battery life phone for gaming, and it lives up to this name.

Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro

Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro can easily be called a phone with best battery life for active people. It has excellent performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor installed on it and up to 24GB of RAM. Despite this power, the smartphone consumes energy moderately. With a 5500mAh battery, it was able to last almost 19 hours in our test. The Asus is also equipped with a 65W fast charging function, with which it charges 100% in just 40 minutes. The only thing is that the camera was a little disappointing. A $1,099 smartphone should have significantly better photo quality.

OnePlus 12R

The OnePlus 12R is one of the best battery phones with 5500 mAh battery, which provides up to 18 hours and 08 minutes of active use. It’s especially convenient that the device supports 100W fast charging, which allows you to fully charge your phone in just 26 minutes. Under the hood lies a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is responsible for high performance and energy efficiency. We are also pleased with the good image quality on OnePlus. But you’ll hardly be able to enjoy taking photos on it, since the smartphone’s cameras are of mediocre quality, although there are 4 modules, and it seems like the manufacturer places an emphasis on it in the design. The price of OnePlus 12P is quite affordable and starts at $480.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max – Best Apple Phone for Battery Life Overall

The Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with a 4685mAh battery, providing a remarkable 17 hours and 17 minutes of active use. This model supports fast 30W charging and can reach 100% in one hour. Thanks to the innovative A18 chipset, which incorporates advanced AI features, one might expect increased battery consumption. However, the ample battery capacity effectively compensates for this. While there are some concerns about Apple’s choices related to updates and design in the iPhone 16 line, this model stands out in terms of energy efficiency, being a phone with best battery life among iPhones. As the latest and most advanced model, it is unsurprisingly expensive, starting at $1,299.

OnePlus 12

OnePlus 12 has a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which delivers great performance and power efficiency. The battery capacity is 5400 mAh, which allowed the smartphone to work up to 17 hours and 5 minutes with active use in our test. It also supports 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Like many smartphones with high technical specifications, the OnePlus 12 has mediocre shooting quality. And at the moment the smartphone does not support any AI functions. It’s not crucial, but, for example, Samsung models in the same price category from $600 support work with AI.

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra

The Asus Zenfone comes with a 5000mAh battery, which allowed it to last 17 hours in our test. The smartphone has 65W fast charging and 25W wireless charging features. Under the hood, the Zenfone 11 has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which provides the smartphone with quite satisfactory performance. I was also pleased with the quality of the shooting. This Asus smartphone has a camera set consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP macro camera. Good camera quality is a rarity for smartphones that focus on performance and battery life. The only disappointment was that the manufacturer only provides 2 years of support for Android updates, which is too little, especially for a $999 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – Best Android phone for Battery Life

In our experiment, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra took 7th place, having worked for 16 hours and 45 minutes. So it’s definitely not the one Android phone with best battery life, although it’s still good. Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery and works in adaptive mode, which changes screen refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. Support for fast charging 45 W allows you to fully charge the battery in 1 hour 27 minutes. It’s worth saying that if you need a Samsung with a capacious battery, you don’t necessarily have to pay $1199 for this flagship model, since many smartphones from the A and M lines also have an impressive battery capacity.

iPhone 16 Plus

To the question of which iPhone has the best battery life, the answer will still be the 16 Pro Max. iPhone 16 Plus is a little simpler. Iit is equipped with a 4674 mAh battery, which allowed it to work for almost 16 and a half hours in our test. It makes the 16 Plus one of the longest-lasting iPhones in terms of battery life. iPhone 16 Plus also has a rich 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display with a resolution of 1290 x 2796 pixels and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision and great cameras. Like all iPhones in the 16 line, it has the new A18 chip and Apple AI features. Among the disadvantages, this smartphone has a low display refresh rate and all the same shortcomings in durability and design as the 16 Pro Max. The Moto G Power 5G (2024) is the most affordable smartphone in our review. For just $299, you’ll get a phone with a 5,000mAh battery that lasted an impressive 14 hours and 36 minutes in our tests, living up to expectations. We can’t say that this smartphone belongs to the budget segment, so we wouldn’t ask for a completely poor package for it. Moto is equipped with a nice MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and it supports both 30W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone also features a vast 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, which is great for multitasking and gaming. If you are expecting outstanding design and camera quality from Motorola, then the smartphone will disappoint you. But for a good battery at this price you have to sacrifice something.

How We Test for the Best Phone Battery Life

To determine what phone has the best battery life, we started by continuously using each smartphone on basic settings, including activities such as playing videos and surfing online, to closely simulate everyday usage. Throughout this phase, our goal was to observe how long the battery lasted under typical conditions. To delve deeper, we conducted additional tests on phones with adaptive refresh rates set to the maximum. This setting often increases the display’s power consumption, providing insights into how these devices manage higher performance demands. As anticipated, the smartphones began to consume more battery power immediately. However, despite the increased energy usage, these phones continued to perform remarkably well, maintaining their positions in our top rankings for battery life.

In the end, we can compare the characteristics of all the above-mentioned phones with the longest battery life for clarity.
