The build quality of this thing is so much better than my previous Pro 2 Type-S. The body of the keyboard has no creaks whatsoever and the plastic does not feel cheap and “hollow” like it does on the Pro 2 Type-S. I also like the improved rubber feet and the inclusion of a blue LED that lets you know whether Caps Lock is enabled.
I found myself enjoying the typing experience of the unsilenced switches on this more than my previous Pro 2 Type-S. But admittedly it was difficult to make a fair comparison between the two as my old Pro 2 Type-S’s switches have stiffened over the years.
In terms of the noise generated by this keyboard, I found it to be effectively quieter than the Pro 2 Type-S because while the Pro 2 Type-S has quieter keys in general, its spacebar is much louder (and cheap plastic sounding) than any key on the new HHKB Pro Classic.

I’m really happy with the new HHKB Professional Classic. I previously owned an HHKB Pro 2 Type-S but this one has become my main driver instead.
At first, I was worried about the noise but when you’re in an open office like me you absolutely won’t have to worry about that.
The sound is amazing too!
