  1. Hmz-t2 is simply amazing. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Jul 2013

Sony has done it again, ahead of the curve with technology that’s not only inventive but perfected. I was leary buying from an import store online with no hands on time with the Hmz-t2. But after some research I found myself buying with confidence after talking with Smart Imports customer service. Very helpful and friendly, answering all my questions promptly. I would recommend anyone looking for the best bang for your buck shopping on imported Japanese products, look no further than Smart Imports. But enough about how Smart Imports sent me my Hmz-t2 in just 5 days with the quickness and more about the future that is the Hmz-t2 personal 3D viewer. First things first thank you Sony for making this awesome accomplishment in technology. The Hmz-t2 looks fantastic, the view it gives you is like sitting in the best seat in a movie theater. The crisp clean visuals leave you feeling satisfied with the $700 price tag. Previously I had seen reviews for the Hmz-t2 stating it wasn’t true 1080P but upon hooking my Hmz-t2 to my PS3 it not only played in 1080P but it even forced my Vizio TV to upscale and play in 1080P when it’s only rated for 1080i and 720P. Strange but I’m not complaining. It may be possible that the people are stating specs for the earlier released Hmz-t1. Believe me the Hmz-t2 has Full HD capability. I use my Hmz-t2 mostly for games but I have watched a couple Bluray 3D movies. Not only does the 3D look great but it adds an additional level of immersion into the game or movie because there is no distraction from any outside sources. For example while I played Battlefield 3 online, even though it’s not 3D the game feels much more realistic being one on one with the screen. I felt myself having motion sickness like a roller coaster when I had flown the jets. It was exhilarating and bad ass. The audio is great with options to change audio levels and output source like headphones or earbuds. The earbuds provided aren’t gonna win any awards but they get the job done and they come free. Being a gamer I use a headset, which fits comfortably over the Hmz-t2. As good as the Hmz-t2 sounds, there are things to improve upon. The layout of cords coming from the Hmz-t2 is a bit cumbersome. The wire shouldn’t have come from behind the light shields which are provided to block all light from outside the Hmz-t2 and it does a good job except the wires and sometimes just the pressure of your face can make the thin rubber shield to come off. I did come up with the idea of putting small velcro strips or dots to keep it in place. The only other problem is my girlfriend is ready to kill me cause all I do is get on my personal 3D viewer and ignore her. Lol seriously I need more time in a day now.
